Terms & conditions
On this page
These terms govern your use of the Mellbeing platform, operated as a marketplace connecting individuals with independent, qualified counsellors. By creating an account or booking a session, you agree to these terms.
Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Mellbeing, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.
Nature of our service
Mellbeing is a marketplace platform that connects users with independent counsellors. We are not a hospital, emergency service, or crisis line. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, please contact a crisis helpline or emergency services immediately rather than booking a session — see our Resources page for helpline numbers.
Eligibility and accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Users under the age of 18 may use student or teen counselling services only with appropriate parental or guardian consent, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Booking, rescheduling & cancellation
Sessions are booked directly into a counsellor's calendar through our scheduling system. You may reschedule up to 24 hours before your session at no extra cost. Cancellations made with less notice, or missed sessions, may not be eligible for a refund or credit, at the platform's discretion.
Payments and pricing
Session and package pricing is shown on our Services page and may vary by counsellor experience tier. Payments are processed through our third-party payment partner. Package sessions must generally be used within a reasonable period from purchase; unused sessions may expire as communicated at the time of purchase.
The counsellor–client relationship
Counsellors on Mellbeing are independent, qualified practitioners responsible for the professional care they provide. Mellbeing facilitates the connection and booking process but is not itself providing therapy. Any concerns about the quality or conduct of a session should be reported to us so we can review the matter with the relevant counsellor.
User conduct
You agree to use Mellbeing respectfully and not to harass, threaten, or misrepresent yourself to counsellors or platform staff, attempt to bypass the platform to avoid fees, or use the service for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these expectations.
Intellectual property
The Mellbeing name, logo, and site content are the property of Mellbeing and may not be copied or reused without permission. Session content and any materials your counsellor shares with you remain subject to the confidentiality terms of your counselling relationship.
Limitation of liability
Mellbeing provides a platform for connecting users with counsellors and does not guarantee specific therapeutic outcomes. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mellbeing is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform, except where such liability cannot be excluded under applicable Indian law.
Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or pose a safety risk to counsellors or other users.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Indian courts, with the specific jurisdiction to be confirmed upon legal review.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as our services evolve. Continued use of Mellbeing after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
